Congratulations, Hal and Emily

Friday is upon us once again. Thank Goodness. Leslie and I are leaving today to go to the great metro area also known as Decatur, MS for Hal and Emily's wedding. You know, I really don't mind going to weddings, it's fun to see two people joining together in the right kind of relationship, the kind that God intended and ordained. It's especially nice to see friends get married. The praise team, well, most of the praise team will be singing in the wedding tomorrow. Mike is pulling double duty as a singer and preacher, so it should be fun to see him running around everywhere trying to get to the right place. I consider it and honor to be a part of their wedding and to witness the start of their journey together as husband and wife.

"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,'and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." –– Matthew 19:4-6

Congratulations to Hal and Emily, we love you both, and may God bless your lives together, and may you build on the foundation, the solid foundation, that God has set in place for you, with Jesus as the chief cornerstone.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. –– Ephesians 2:19-20
