And God Said...

I just got through reading Genesis 1

I know that we have all read it or heard the story told thousands of times. But if you haven't read it in a while then go back and read it for the 1,001 time. It was good to go back to the beginning, to see how God created the Earth that we live on today, how his great plan that has spanned so many generations past, and generations to come, came into being. I'm not really sure why this passage was so touching this time around. I guess it just reminded me of how much God is in control and how powerful he truly is. I mean, for goodness sakes, he spoke and it happened. How many times have we tried to create something and work so hard and can't even finish it. How much watering does it take for us to get a plant to grow. All God has to do is speak, and the task is complete.

Next time you are facing a troubling issue in your life, stop trying to take care of everything on your own, because usually we only make it worse. Let God take control, after all he only has to speak to make it happen.
