Football mixed with baseball

I started working out on the baseball field with my brother and a friend of ours who is training my brother and I. He has already helped me tremendously with how I throw in just a couple of practices. I look forward to seeing how much I can improve my velocity throwing the ball. The guy knows what he's talking about, and wish he could get a hold of some younger players around West Point. We will be working out tomorrow around noon, which I means I will miss a good bit of the Ole Miss/Auburn game. Very sad, but, Oh well.

Going to Pontotoc tonight to see West Point take on the Warriors of Pontotoc high school. It seems there are a lot of Indian mascots in their district. Braves, Indians, Warriors. Shouldn't be close as Pontotoc is not a strong team. West Point has outscored its district foes 132-6, and has only allowed 5 point per game on the season. West Point can clinch the district title with a win, which means a first round playoff game at home in two weeks. Can't wait.

West Point Green Wave Defense

Ole Miss (3-4, 1-3) travels to "the Plains" to meet the Auburn Tigers (5-2, 3-1). Ole Miss is playing better defense lately which should really help them in this game. Unfortunately the Offense continues to struggle. I don't look for Ole Miss to win, but as they always do at Auburn, I look for this game to pretty close.

If you happen to watch this game, look for #49 Patrick Willis (pictured below), the most underrated linebacker in the country. The kid is a star for the Ole Miss defense, averaging 14 total tackles a game. Look for him to be an all-american candidate at the end of this year. I just hope he doesn't go pro, he's only a junior.
