Katrina 2

Well, monday night was an interesting night. While Katrina began to show some of its power in West Point Monday, Leslie and I decided to go out on our porch and watch it. Our neighbors happened to be outside to, so we sat outside with them for about 2-3 hours just watching Katrina go by, being sprayed with some water as the wind blew by us. It was a cool night. We got a chance to know our neighbors better and find out things about them. We really enjoyed it. I just wish that the storm we were watching wasn't as devastating as it was.

There are so many people that have been effected by this massive storm. Many have lost homes, loved ones, and so many other things. The great thing about it is that it has brought out the good in so many who are serving others, by rescuing, rebuilding, feeding, clothing. However, with the looting problems it has also brought out the worst in people as well.

Lord, bless the victims of this hurricane, and give them comfort and shelter in their time of need. May they be served by your people as they go through this tragic time. May your light be shone upon them that they may see you, even in the midst of all the chaos. Amen.
