Let me just say this, I am not a big reader, whatsoever, but with all the talk of the upcoming movie, "The Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", based on a series of books by author C.S. Lewis, I have been intrigued enough to buy the book. We stopped by Books-a-Million in Columbus last night while we were in the mall. I was only going to get the "Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" but found the entire series put together in one big book, so I got it instead figuring it was a better deal, and why not read the whole thing.
So I started it last night by reading part of the "Magician's Nephew". Very intriguing so far. Although I have not read any of Lewis's books I have read much discussion on some of his writings, both the fiction, and his Chrisian books. I know that he has put Christian undertones in his fiction novels while not actually speaking of Chrisitanity, Jesus, or God directly. I will be looking for that as I read.
I talked Leslie into getting a book, so she relented and picked up "Just Like Heaven", which the upcoming movie is based on.
I would definitely like to start reading again, which I haven't done regularly in quite some time. So I am trying to get Leslie to read as well. We'll see how it goes.
What are some books that you like, or liked?
Have a great Wednesday!
